Chronoswiss stands for the traditional craftsmanship that allows us to stay on top of time: the art of fine watchmaking. Using precision state-of-the-art technology and staying in sync with the times, Chronoswiss demonstrate their expertise with every single watch they make – as with the Chronoswiss Timemaster.

Sometimes in life, even fractions of a second can be decisive. Thus, a precise and functional watch is often essential. Should you need it for a certain timekeeping task, the watch should be able to cope with it with ease, just like the Chronoswiss Timemaster. It transforms its wearer into exactly what its name promises: a master of time. At Watchmaster you can buy pre-owned Chronoswiss Timemaster at affordable prices.

The Timemaster: visual and technical features

When you look at the Chronoswiss Timemaster watches, the first thing you notice is the distinctive, masculine and industrial-looking design. The large onion crown might take some getting used to, but it gives the Chronoswiss Timemaster models a certain charm and provides excellent usability. With a classical observation watch this is hugely important and is standard.

The robust design is apparent in the dial which is characterised by particularly good readability and a clear layout. The indices are also a characteristic feature of Timemaster watches. These are mainly composed of dot or bar indices and large Arabic numerals, which take replace some of the other indices. The case is also in keeping with the Timemaster design language. Clear lines and the side fluted bezel, often marked with a 5-minute scale, complement the Timemaster's distinctive appearance.

The wearer can choose between rubber, leather or stainless steel bracelets to attach the watch, meaning both ambitious outdoor adventurers and everyday working heroes can rely on the Chronoswiss Timemaster on their wrist.

On a technical level, the Timemaster features robust automatic movements and a variety of useful complications. Date or power reserve displays and chronograph variants with GMT function are part of the standard repertoire of the Chronoswiss Timemaster series. For those who prefer something a little more playful and refined, the Timemaster Skeleton variants are highly recommended.

How much do Chronoswiss Timemaster watches cost?

In addition to performing excellently as a functional watch, the Chronoswiss Timemaster offers an affordable entry-level model into the world of luxury watches. A selection of Timemaster models are currently available at Watchmaster for under €2,000. However, brand new Timemaster watches also represent an excellent investment for relatively low prices. On average you should budget between €3,000 and €5,000 for new models. That being said, top models such as the Timemaster Chronograph Skeleton (Ref. CH-9045RS-POR) are above average with pre-owned prices of more than €10,000.

Famous wearers

The Timemaster doesn’t just have one famous wearer, but a group of four. In 2014, the German hip hop band “Die Fantastischen 4” marked the occasion of their 25th anniversary. In collaboration with Chronoswiss, the band celebrated with their own special edition of the Timemaster. This limited edition piece is available in two styles with just 100 copies of each made. One of these models is a stainless steel case with a DLC-coated bezel on a stainless steel bracelet and the other model is a DLC-coated stainless steel case with a rubber strap. Both versions come with four previously unreleased pictures of the band in a clip frame. An absolute must for watch collectors and fans of the cult band.

Other exciting series from Chronoswiss

  • The Régulateur series is one of the long-running favourites of the Munich-born brand. The classic regulator dials date back to the so-called master clocks of the 17th century and have steadily grown in popularity since then.

  • For those who prefer a clearer layout, then we strongly recommend the Digiteur series. The rectangular case features a simple dial with three display windows, which show the hours, minutes and seconds – almost like a regular digital watch. Cases are available in yellow, white or rose gold and fine leather straps give this model a timeless elegance.

  • With a model from the Kairos series you have a timeless and elegant watch at your side. Whether you choose a chronograph, or a classic three-hand watch with date window, the fluted bezel and the onion crown typical of Chronoswiss can be found on every watch in the Kairos series.

  • The Opus is arguably one of the most impressive series from Chronoswiss. The large chronograph offers a captivating clear view of the precise movement at work thanks to the skeletonised dial. This fascinating spectacle unfolds inside a stainless steel case attached to a filigree metal bracelet or elegant leather strap.

  • The Chronometer series features classic and elegant chronographs. Here the case convinces with a fluted bezel and elegantly contrasting pushers. There is plenty of choice in terms of materials with steel, bicolour versions and pure gold on offer. The overall look of the Chronometer models is rounded off with an elegant leather strap.
