TAG Heuer Connected Modular - a state-of-the-art innovation

Buy them new or used with certificate, TAG Heuer Connected Modular Smartwatch

TAG Heuer Connected Modular uniquely combines design, quality and innovation. The Smartwatch, which is equipped with extremely modern technology and manufactured in Swiss watchmaking tradition, was developed in collaboration with Intel and is equipped with Android Wear OS.

The first models of the series came on the market with a 45mm housing, a millimeter smaller than the predecessor model TAG Heuer Connected. Meanwhile, there is also a 41mm version. Both variants have a very high display resolution: The Modular 45 has resolution of 400 x 400 pixels, the Modular 41 a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. The touch display is equipped with multi-finger recognition and is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. With a water resistance of up to 50 meters, this watch is even more functional.

With the material, this watch offers a variety of possibilities. Ceramic, titanium or rose gold, set with or without diamonds. A bracelet made of ceramic, leather or rubber with a non-removable folding clasp - here every watch fan will find something. With more than 60 models you can choose between 4000 individual options.

A characteristic of the Connected Modular is that it has both digital and mechanical modules and is therefore individually adaptable. It is powered by an Intel Atom processor. Also in terms of sensor technology and functionality, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular will not be mimicked so fast: It is equipped with GPS, NFC, accelerometer, gyroscope, tilt sensor, microphone and vibration and haptic engine.

The story of TAG Heuer Connected Modular

The watch manufacturer Heuer was founded in 1860 by Swiss watchmaker Edouard Heuer. From 1880 he was the first watchmaker in the world to produce chronographs in series production. This milestone was followed by a success story that continues to this day. For more than four generations, the successful company was family-owned, most recently run by entrepreneur Jack Heuer. In 1985, the merger with the TAG group took place. Along with this, the classic Heuer Logo, which today only is carried by vintage models, has been changed to the TAG Heuer logo, which is known today.

In 2015, TAG Heuer launched its first smartwatch: TAG Heuer Connected. Equipped with Intel hardware and Android Wear Operating System, it was considered an innovative new release of the year. As early as 2017, the development of the high-tech watch, the Connected Modular, followed. Unlike its predecessor, it allows you to switch between mechanical and digital modules. It is also TAG Heuer's first smartwatch to carry the "Swiss-made" label, thanks to its complete installation in La Chaud-de-Fonds, which represents a production share of more than 60% in Switzerland.

Famous TAG Heuer Connected Modular Wearers

TAG Heuer stands for strength and self-confidence. This is precisely what makes the numerous brand ambassadors who work for TAG Heuer so special. Because what do model Cara Delevingne and actor Chris Hemsworth have in common? They go their own way, are innovative, are considered fighters and pioneers - and all wear a TAG Heuer on the wrist!

The cooperations of the brand also show what their watches can do. TAG Heuer is involved in motorsport, soccer, cycling and many other competitive and extreme sports. However, the Connected Modular series was also able to win its own fans explicitly: top athlete Josef Ajram, power woman Anna Chipovskaya and soccer prodigy Shinji Kagawa show up with the highly functional smartwatch!

Other popular series from TAG Heuer
  • The TAG Heuer Formula 1 is the watch for racers and their fans. It is prized for robustness and comfort. Smooth, scratch-resistant ceramic and the unidirectional rotating bezel are characteristic of the Formula 1.
  • The TAG Heuer Aquaracer combines the functionality of a diver's watch with that of a chronograph. Even professional divers appreciate the Aquaracer, which is waterproof to a depth of 300 or 500 meters. The bezel is rotatable on one side and equipped with a 60-minute scale. Through luminous numbers and hands, the time is easy to read even in deep darkness.
  • The TAG Heuer Monaco is particularly striking due to its characteristic square shape. Many models are still very close to the original release model of the early 1970s due to their size of 39 mm x 39 mm. The watch became famous on the wrist of Steve McQueen in 1971 in the movie "Le Mans". But also in terms of technology, the Monaco shines: It was the first square, waterproof chronograph with automatic movement.
  • The TAG Heuer Classic Monza comes in a classic but modernized pillow design reminiscent of 1930s shapes. The first watches of this series were powered by a caliber 15, which was one of the first automatic chronograph calibers. Later, the caliber 12 was introduced for this series. While the Monza with the caliber 15 had a running seconds indication at 10 o'clock, the caliber 12 watch carries only a small second indication at three o'clock. In 1980, a model with an hour counter at nine o'clock came on the market.
  • The trademark of TAG Heuer Link is the steel bracelet made of S-shaped links. The elegant limbs, to which it also owes its name, ensure a high wearing comfort. It is available as a simple hand watch and as a chronograph with up to three subsidiary dials.
