The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ranks among the most coveted chronographs in the world. Introduced in 1963 and named after Daytona Beach in Florida, a location steeped in motor racing tradition, it was developed for the needs of racing drivers. The tachymetric scale on the bezel allows the measurement of average speeds, and three subdials make the stopped time clearly legible. The 116503, with its 40 mm case, was produced from 2016 to 2023 and combines stainless steel with yellow gold.
