New, pre-owned and vintage: Breitling for Bentley watches
It comes as no surprise that motorsport would be impossible without accurate timing. As early as the 1930s, this led automobile manufacturers to seek out collaborations with luxury watchmakers. From Rolex to TAG Heuer, the link between frenetic engineering and passionate racers runs deep and challenged watchmakers to produce chronometers that were even more accurate. While timepieces quickly made their way into the cockpits and on to the wrists of famous racing drivers, it was only through the collaboration between Breitling and Bentley
that luxury watches were to find their way into “normal” cars.

In 2002 Bentley launched the Continental GT, one of the most powerful high performance cars of all time. As a world first, Bentley entrusted a watchmaker to help design the technical instrumentation and the dashboard clock. Of course, this was none other than Breitling. In 2003, Bentley finally returned to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the brand had already made a name for themselves between 1924 and 1930 with its famous “Bentley Boys”
, and swiftly won first and second place. As one of the main sponsors of Bentley, Breitling celebrated this with the “Bentley Le Mans” limited edition
, which was so successful that the two companies strengthened their collaboration and in the process created the Breitling for Bentley series
– unified by their pursuit of style and beauty, performance and prestige.
The partnership between the two was renewed again in 2018. To celebrate this, Breitling pledged to release a special edition limited to 100 watches in 2019 to mark Bentley's 100th birthday. Meanwhile, Bentley announced that the Breitling Bentley collection
