The IWC Portugieser dates back to the late 1930s, when two Portuguese businessmen commissioned IWC Schaffhausen to create wristwatches with the precision of a marine chronometer. This resulted in a large watch with a pocket watch movement, which continues to define the design language of the family to this day. Typical features include the uncluttered dial with Arabic numerals, the slender hands, the fine minute track and the narrow bezel, which makes the dial appear particularly generous. Especially well known is the Portugieser Chronograph with its 41 mm case, whose balanced dial design is considered a design classic. With its timeless elegance, it is a versatile companion for formal occasions as well as for everyday wear.
The watch offered here presents itself in excellent condition. It is offered as a full set together with the original papers and the original box.
