General Terms
and Conditions
WATCHMASTER (Schweiz) AG
Version: 2.0
Effective from: 1 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms apply to
1.1 The seller is WATCHMASTER (Schweiz) AG, Münchwilerstrasse 1, 9546 Tuttwil, Switzerland, UID CHE-499.857.879 (“we”). You can reach us at contact@watchmaster.com.
1.2 These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to every purchase in our online shop at www.watchmaster.com. They also apply to the use of the website (section 13).
1.3 The version published on the website at the time of your order applies (section 14.1). You can save or print it at any time.
1.4 The sale of your watch to us is governed by our separate Terms of Purchase, not by these GTC.
1.5 Deviating terms apply only if we have confirmed them in writing. E-mail is sufficient.
2. Our watches
2.1 We sell pre-owned watches. Every watch is unique: there is exactly one of it, and you buy the watch that is described and pictured.
2.2 Before dispatch, every watch is inspected by watchmakers for provenance, authenticity, condition and function. What we know about the watch as a result is stated in the description: reference, condition, year, box, papers and special features.
2.3 Signs of wear are part of a pre-owned watch. Wear that is to be expected given the described condition is not a defect.
2.4 Scope of delivery. Box, papers and other accessories are included only if the description mentions them. A box need not be the manufacturer’s original packaging unless the description expressly says so. A bracelet or strap from another manufacturer is mentioned in the description.
2.5 Year. If papers are included, we state the date shown in them. The watch may have been manufactured earlier. Without papers, we estimate the year, for example from the serial number. In that case it is an estimate and not a warranted characteristic.
2.6 Bracelet. Pre-owned watches are sometimes missing links. If you wish, tell us your wrist circumference and we will adjust the bracelet before dispatch, as far as the available links allow. Missing links are not part of the purchase. We can obtain them at your expense where this is possible.
2.7 Water resistance is not a permanent characteristic of a watch. The seals age. We therefore do not warrant it, even if it was present at the time of inspection. Have it tested before exposing the watch to water.
2.8 The photos show the watch being sold. Colours may appear slightly different on your screen.
3. Order and contract
3.1 You can order from the age of 18.
3.2 The watches in the shop are an invitation to treat. By clicking the button “Order with obligation to pay” you submit a binding offer. Before doing so, you see all the details of your order and can correct them.
3.3 The contract is concluded as soon as we send you the order confirmation by e-mail. This happens automatically after payment or, in the case of instalment payment, once HeyLight has given its approval.
3.4 Many of our watches are sourced from a partner only after you have placed your order. If we cannot deliver the watch as described, for example because it has already been sold there or does not pass our inspection, we may withdraw from the contract. We will tell you immediately and refund the full amount. You have no further claims in this case.
3.5 If a price is obviously wrong, for example because of a typing error, we are not obliged to deliver at that price. We will contact you, and you can buy at the correct price or get your money back.
4. Prices
4.1 All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).
4.2 For delivery to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, prices include VAT.
4.3 For delivery to all other countries, we do not charge Swiss VAT. You can see the price for your delivery country in the shopping cart and at the checkout.
4.4 Shipping is free and insured.
4.5 The total amount you pay is shown at the checkout before you place your order.
5. Payment
5.1 You pay when you order, in one of the following ways:
a) One-time payment by credit card, processed through our payment service provider Stripe. Which cards are accepted is shown at the checkout.
b) Instalment payment via HeyLight, only with a billing address in Switzerland (see 5.2).
5.2 Instalment payment. Instalment payment is offered by HeyLight AG, Seefeldstrasse 18, 8008 Zürich. We are not the lender.
a) You conclude the instalment contract directly with HeyLight. HeyLight’s terms apply, which HeyLight shows you before you conclude the contract.
b) The available periods, the down payment and the maximum amount are shown on the product page and on HeyLight’s page.
c) HeyLight checks your creditworthiness and may reject the application. In that case you can pay by card. Otherwise no contract is concluded.
d) If the purchase is reversed (sections 3.4, 3.5, 6.1, 6.3, 7 and 8), we process the refund via HeyLight. The instalment contract is then terminated in accordance with HeyLight’s terms.
5.3 We do not offer other payment methods such as bank transfer, cash or vouchers in the shop.
5.4 If there is reasonable suspicion of misuse of a means of payment, we will not dispatch the watch and will only issue a refund once the matter has been clarified.
5.5 Refunds are made within 30 days, to the means of payment used for the order (in the case of instalment payment via HeyLight, section 5.2 d). The period runs from our withdrawal or your withdrawal, or, in the case of a return, from receipt of the watch by us.
6. Delivery
6.1 We deliver worldwide. There are some countries we cannot deliver to, for example because of sanctions or because insured delivery is not possible. In that case we will tell you before dispatch and refund the full amount.
6.2 Delivery time. The product page states the expected delivery time (“Immediately”, “Within 30 days” or “Within 45 days”). It runs from the order. We will meet it wherever possible. Because we depend on partners, inspection and shipping, delivery may in exceptional cases take up to two months from the order. We will tell you as soon as a delay becomes apparent.
6.3 If we do not deliver within two months of the order, you may withdraw from the contract and will receive a full refund.
6.4 Shipping. We ship insured with FedEx to the delivery address in your order. The parcel is handed over against the signature of an adult. You cannot collect the watch from us.
6.5 Check the parcel on handover. If it is damaged or has been opened, do not accept it and contact us.
6.6 On handover to you, the risk passes to you, i.e. the risk of loss and damage.
6.7 Customs and import charges. For delivery outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein, customs duties, import taxes and fees may be incurred in the destination country. These are borne by you and are not included in the price. We do not know their amount. Your country’s customs authority can provide information.
7. Returns for defects or discrepancies (10 days)
7.1 If the watch is not as described on delivery or has a proven defect, you may return it within 10 days of receipt. This is the “10-Day Return Policy” stated on our product pages. Returns without a reason, for example because you do not like the watch, are not provided for.
7.2 This is how to proceed:
a) Contact us within 10 days of receipt by e-mail at contact@watchmaster.com before sending anything back. Describe the discrepancy or defect, ideally with photos.
b) We will send you instructions for the insured return shipment. We bear the cost of the return shipment if the discrepancy or defect is confirmed.
c) Return the watch in the condition in which it was delivered, complete, with box, papers, all links and all accessories you received.
7.3 After receipt, we inspect the watch. If the discrepancy or defect is confirmed, you can choose:
a) We refund the full purchase price.
b) We exchange it for another watch from our range. We will settle any difference in price.
The refund is made in accordance with section 5.5.
7.4 If the defect is not confirmed, or if the watch has been damaged or altered after delivery, we return it to you. In that case you bear the cost of shipping to us and back.
7.5 A defect that only appears later falls under the warranty (section 8).
8. WATCHMASTER Warranty (12 months)
8.1 We give a 12-month warranty from delivery on every pre-owned watch, covering proper functioning. This is the “1 Year Warranty” stated on our product pages.
8.2 What it covers: mechanical and technical defects that occur in normal use.
8.3 What it does not cover:
a) knocks, drops, accidents, incorrect operation or careless handling;
b) repairs, opening or modifications by you or third parties without our consent, and parts not made by the manufacturer that were fitted after delivery;
c) water resistance and the consequences of moisture ingress (section 2.7);
d) wear and signs of use, for example on the bracelet or strap, crystal and clasp, as well as batteries;
e) loss, theft and fire.
8.4 A warranty claim costs you nothing. Labour, spare parts and insured shipping in both directions are at our expense. Whether we repair the watch, replace it with an equivalent one or refund the purchase price is our decision. A refund is the full purchase price. Customs duties and import charges outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein are not included (section 8.6).
8.5 If a manufacturer’s warranty is still in force, we can have the watch repaired through the manufacturer. You may also contact an authorised dealer yourself. In that case, bring the warranty card with you.
8.6 How to report a warranty claim: by e-mail to contact@watchmaster.com, before you send the watch in. We will tell you how and where to send it insured. Outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein, charges may be incurred for the import and export of the watch. These are borne by you. Therefore mark the shipment as “Return for repair”.
8.7 A repair may take time if we have to obtain parts from the manufacturer. We will keep you informed. A repair does not extend the warranty.
8.8 Statutory warranty. Section 7 and this warranty replace the statutory warranty for defects to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
9. Liability
9.1 We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence on our part, and for personal injury.
9.2 Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the watch concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit.
9.3 We are not liable for delays or failures beyond our control, such as force majeure, measures by public authorities or disruptions at shipping and payment service providers.
10. Data protection
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. It also explains how we identify your country in order to display instalment payment only in Switzerland.
11. Notices
Write to us at contact@watchmaster.com or by post to the address in section 1.1. We will write to you at the e-mail address given in your order.
12. Law and place of jurisdiction
12.1 Swiss law applies. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.
12.2 If you are resident outside Switzerland, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of your country of residence.
12.3 The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of WATCHMASTER (Schweiz) AG in Tuttwil, Canton of Thurgau. As a consumer, you may also bring an action at your place of residence. We will bring any action against you at your place of residence.
13. Use of the website
13.1 Texts, photos, videos and trademarks on www.watchmaster.com belong to us or our licensors. You may view, download and print them for private purposes. Any other use requires our prior consent.
13.2 Automated extraction of content from the website, for example by bots, scrapers or for training AI systems, is not permitted without our written consent. Search engines are exempt.
13.3 We endeavour to keep the information correct and up to date and the website available, but cannot guarantee either. The operators of linked third-party websites are responsible for their content.
14. Final provisions
14.1 We may amend these GTC at any time for future orders.
14.2 If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
14.3 These GTC are available in German and English. In the event of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
