Datejust

The Rolex Datejust is the heart of the collection and is regarded as the classic Rolex par excellence. Introduced in 1945, it was the first wristwatch with a date in a window on the dial that changes automatically. To this day, the date window is magnified by the characteristic Cyclops lens. The Datejust is made in several case sizes and is offered in stainless steel, in combination with gold and in solid precious metal. A choice of bezels and bracelets is also available, from the smooth or fluted ring to the Jubilé or Oyster bracelet. This variety and the timeless design language make it a versatile watch for everyday wear and special occasions.

The 16234G, with its 36 mm case, was produced from 1988 to 2006 and combines a stainless steel case with a fluted white gold bezel. The G suffix stands for hour markers set with diamonds at the factory. It is worn on a steel Oyster or Jubilee bracelet with a folding clasp, and inside beats the automatic calibre 3135.

This example with a blue dial is in excellent condition. It comes as a full set with the original papers and the original box. Production of this model has been discontinued - this is a sought-after collector's piece!
